The thesis focuses on the description of the functioning of social media which is visualized by using my own profiles with a focus on fitness and their marketing use. It explains how marketing has been shaped historically to the present day where social media plays a key role. It focuses on comparing the hypotheses of profile management's own best judgment with international studies and their resulting advice for ideal outcomes. The analytical tools provided by the social networks were used for the analysis.
