BackgroundFluorescein sodium (FNa) is a fluorescence agent used with a wide-field operating microscope for intraoperative guidance and with confocal laser endomicroscopy (CLE) to evaluate brain tissue. Susceptibility of FNa to degradation over time may affect CLE image quality during prolonged surgeries.
