Over the last ten years, multi-antenna systems (MIMO) for mobile and fixed wireless commu- nications have revolutionized the possibilities offered for numerous telecommunication application domains. Using multiple antennas at both ends of the link considerably increases the capacity of wireless systems. However, the digital algorithms needed to realize these systems are complex and constitute a challenge in order to define powerful hardware architectures.
