Ekološka svijest studenata

Environmental awareness is part of the overall social consciousness and as such is very important for establishing a balance between animate and inanimate nature, man and his environment. Extreme weather and natural disasters, increasingly frequent climate change and the destruction of ecosystems are becoming the main topics of today. An unpolluted and healthy environment is one of the basic human rights. The best way for this topic to become a part of a young man's everyday life is certainly the school and faculty environment. The main goal of the research was to determine the structure of the attitudes of young respondents about maintaining a healthy environment and the survival of civilization in the context of today's so-called environmental crises. The new way of thinking that we are forced to make by the changes in man's relationship to nature is a precondition and a consequence of the new ecological consciousness. The basic condition of an ecological crisis is man's will to power. The thesis deals with question are adequate steps being taken in order to help the growing problem of environment pollution. The research has been conducted through a questionnaire that has been given to 100 full-time and part-time students of the University of Rijeka, Faculty of Economics and Business. This type of verification using statistical analysis indicated a greater presence of orientation towards sustainable development
