Following the legacy left by Maurice Gourdon, of Bagnères-de-Luchon (Haute-Garonne), the Dobree Museum in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique) keeps four white marble votive altars from the Pyrenees, found at Cierp-Gaud and Arlos, near Saint-Beat (Haute-Garonne), and three protohistoric pottery from the cave at Saint-Mamet and Benqué (Haute-Garonne). Two of the altars bear inscriptions : one is dedicated to Uria, Rufus’ daughter, the second one, from A(ulus) Furius Festus, to the God Alardossus, one of the many topical and probably healing divinities of the Convenae. Both of the anepigraphic altars represent a god holding a crook and a purse ; the second attribute is respectively a crook and a snake ; they probably represent the same Alardossus.A la s...
