Keystones bricks : a specific building material of roman thermae. Summary keystones bricks having two tenons on their bottom, and two mortises on the top, have been found during escavations on several roman thermae in Aquitaine, Narbonnaise, Iberic Peninsula and Maroco. If their use is actually known on arches building, on the other hand, up to now, archaeology has not allowed us to find which was their specific use on building of roman thermae. Tenons and mortises supported flat bricks which were making the intrados and the extrados of pipes between two arches. Then, air was able to go through the pipes made by those two arches.
