Vétérinaire aujourd’hui et demain

Veterinarian today and veterinarian tomorrow. The objective and detailed analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities of small animal practice confirms the inevitability of the trend towards mergers. Looking at what is happening on the other side of the Channel and on the other side of the Atlantic provides useful information on future opportunities for such mergers, based on mutual benefit, or on partial or total capital integration. Similarly to what was developed in neighbouring countries or in human medicine in France, three types of networks are possible : concentration (central structure/ satellites practices), rationalization (circular correspondence between satellites practices), and expansion (franchising, joint venture, financial integration).L’analyse objective et détaillée des forces, faiblesses, menaces et opportunités de l’actuelle pratique libérale vétérinaire des petits animaux indique combien la tendance au regroupement est devenue inéluctable. Regarder ce qui se passe outre-Manche et outre-Atlantique enrichit la réflexion sur les possibilités de développement de stratégies d’alliances complémentaires, additives ou de stratégies d’intégration capitalistique partielle ou totale. À l’instar de ce qui a été réalisé dans les pays voisins ou en médecine humaine en France, trois schémas de réseaux sont possibles : la concentration (fonctionnement «Business to Consumers» de cabinets satellites organisés autour d’une structure centrale fonctionnant en «Business to Business»), la rationalisation (organisation circulaire en cabinets satellites ne fonctionnant qu’en «Business to Consumers») et l’expansion (franchise, joint venture, intégration financière).Duhautois Bruno.
