The present article reviews the main studies, and their resulting guidelines, carried out in France in horse nutrition, reproduction, genetics and sport performance. Most of these studies have lead to the development of new practices. Research prospects in these four areas are also briefly presented.Cet article passe en revue les orientations et les résultats des principales recherches conduites en France dans les domaines de l’alimentation, de la reproduction, de la génétique et de la performance sportive chez les équidés.
