This thesis studies the robustness and performance of Event-Based Controllers applied to network control. In these systems, event generation techniques are of paramount importance, among them, sampling techniques with fixed thresholds are studied. In this thesis, a new sampling technique is proposed and methodologies are developed to analyze the robustness of the control loop with this and other sampling techniques with fixed thresholds, using different analysis tools. From these analyzes, several tuning rules specifically developed for these sampling techniques are proposed.
