Water blocking due to the capillary end effect near the wellbore vicinity creates significant formation damage and decreases well productivity for oil and gas. The alteration of the rock wettability by a chemical well treatment is an effective way to reduce water blockage and enhance oil and gas production. Presently, several surfactants and nanofluids are used in the industry for contact angle alteration.
