Objective: Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a nonmalignant enlargement of the prostate associated with aging. BPH can cause lower urinary tract syndrome (LUTS). Medical therapy for patients with moderate and severe LUTS symptoms comprises a-1 adrenergic receptor antagonists.
