Objective: The objective of the present investigation was to fabricate and characterize allopurinol loaded chitosan nanoparticles (A-CNPs) for sustained release of drug. Methods: The allopurinol loaded chitosan nanoparticles were successfully prepared by employing the ionotropic gelation method.
