Objective: The objective of the research was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of lornoxicam compared to diclofenac in the management of postoperative pain following mastoidectomy surgery. Methods: The present study was a prospective, single-blinded, randomised study. 80 mastoidectomy patients were randomised into two groups. Group A received lornoxicam 8 mg and group B received diclofenac 75 mg intramuscularly twice daily for 3 consecutive days. The primary parameter was to analyse the postoperative pain using visual analogue scale (VAS) and Wong Bakers scale (WBS).
