Objective: To develop a simple, accurate, and precise spectrophotometric method for the simultaneous estimation of moxifloxacin hydrochloride (MOX) and doxorubicin hydrochloride (DXR). Methods: MOX and DXR solution were simultaneously determined in 0.1M HCl at their respective λmax. The absorbance λmax of MOX and DXR was 295 nm and 480 nm, respectively. The developed method was validated according to ICH guidelines for parameters like linearity, accuracy, precision, ruggedness and robustness. Results: Molar absorptivities of MOX and DXR were found to be more in 0.1M HCl with compared to water, methanol and 0.1M NaOH.
