La diversité des synapses inhibitrices est soutenue par de multiples classes d'interneurones aux morphologies, schémas de connectivité et propriétés physiologiques distincts. Pourtant, les déterminants moléculaires spécifiques de la diversité des synapses inhibitrices restent largement inconnus. Nous avons étudié la géphyrine (Gphn), considérée comme la protéine d'échafaudage principale des synapses inhibitrices qui contrôle notamment la localisation et la fonction des récepteurs inhibiteurs, mais est également responsable de l’organisation des différents acteurs de la post-synapse inhibitrice.
