Abstrak Membaca adalah salah satu keterampilan yang penting untuk diajarkan dalam kelas bahasa asing. Membaca merupakan salah satu keterampilan bahasa yang utama untuk mendapatkan informasi apa pun. Namun, dalam praktik nyata pembelajaran bahasa, tidak semua peserta didik menyadari pentingnya membaca. Strategi metakognitif adalah salah satu strategi membaca yang efektif bagi siswa untuk menjadi pembaca yang efektif.
