My research activities are in the domain of efficient implementation of image and signal processing applications into embedded systems. Challenged by the increasing complexity of embedded systems and short time to market pressure, new techniques for system design and efficient tools to capture the complexity and help perform design activity are under perennial demand. The process of fixed-point refinement is an important step that occurs soon after application/algorithm design and before any kind of implementation effort.
