TINGKAT MENTAL ANXIETY (KECEMASAN) COMPETITIVE PADA ATLET UKM SEPAK BOLA UNIVERSITAS NEGERI SURABAYA

Abstract Anxiety is an important issue for athletes, especially before competing because it can affect the athlete's playing pattern. The purpose ofstudy thiswas to determine the level of anxiety experienced by SME soccer athletes at the State University of Surabaya. Namely, the level of competitive mental anxiety (anxiety) in soccer SME athletes at the State University of Surabaya. This research is a quantitative descriptive type, by filling out a questionnaire or questionnaire method. The filling of the questionnaire is also closed which is used as a research instrument. This anxiety is divided into four aspects, namely cognitive aspects, motor aspects, somatik aspects, and affective aspects. Researchers examined thequestionnaire method or sports anxiety scalesports anxiety scale (SAS), the sample used was 22 students who were members of the Surabaya State University Soccer . Data retrieval in this study using a questionnaire has 22 questions covering the somatik aspect there are 7 questions, the affective aspect is 3 questions, the cognitive aspect is 3 questions, and the motor aspect is 9 questions. The results of the study on Unesa soccer SME athletes were in the high category with an average score of 46.36. The somatik aspect got an average score of 16.36 in the high category. The affective aspect got an average score of 5.77 in the medium category. The cognitive aspect got an average score of 6.50 in the medium category. The motor aspect got an average score of 17.82 in the medium category. The conclusion of this study is that the athletes of the Surabaya State University Soccer have a high level of anxiety and have an average score of 3.60, the level of anxiety is high. .  Keywords: Anxiety, Match and Football
