A atuação do (a) Assistente Social junto a medida socioeducativa de internação à luz do projeto ético político do Serviço Social

The study entitled "The role of the social worker in the socio-educational measure of hospitalization in the light of the ethical political project of social work" aimed to reflect on the articulation of the dimensions that involve the professional practice of the Social Worker and the difficult task of materializing the Ethical Political Project of the profession (PEPSS) amid the revitalization of conservatism, and its impact on the responses given to the demands of the working class regarding the socio-educational care of hospitalization. In general terms, it was within the context of broad social inequalities and here specifically in the area of activity that Social Workers are called to work in institutions that serve teenagers typified as perpetrators of infractions that we seek to reflect. On the one hand, there is the PEPSS to be followed and which is committed to the realization of human rights, expansion of citizenship and democratic values; on the other, there is an ongoing corporate project that legitimizes punishment at the expense of social protection. In this contradictory space, the profession has been historically placed as a major challenge for the implementation of the documents that govern Social Work, especially an ethics based on human emancipation. The research was developed from the bibliographical research and the analysis of legal documents such as: Statute of Children and Adolescents (ECA) and National Social-Educational Service System (SINASE), and also the Code of Ethics of (a) Social Worker. The study resulted in the understanding that to break with a punitive action of the socioeducational measure of detention, it is necessary that the professional act in accordance with the Ethical Political Project of the profession, in order to combat any advance in conservatism made possible by the neoliberal State and that insists on returning to Social Service, to direct its actions in the struggle for the expansion and consolidation of citizenship.O estudo intitulado “A atuação do (a) assistente social junto a medida socioeducativa de internação à luz do projeto ético político do serviço social” teve por objetivo realizar uma reflexão sobre a articulação das dimensões que envolvem o exercício profissional do (a) Assistente Social e a difícil tarefa da materialização do Projeto Ético Político da profissão (PEPSS) em meio a revitalização do conservadorismo, e seu rebatimento nas respostas dadas às demandas da classe trabalhadora no que tange o atendimento socioeducativo de internação. Em linhas gerais, foi sobre o contexto das amplas desigualdades sociais e aqui especificamente na área de atuação que os (as) Assistentes Sociais são chamados a atuar nas instituições que atendem adolescentes tipificados como autores (as) de atos infracionais que buscamos refletir. De um lado há o PEPSS a ser seguido e que se compromete com a efetivação dos direitos humanos, ampliação da cidadania e valores democráticos; do outro há um projeto societário em decurso que legitima a punição em detrimento da proteção social. Nesse espaço contraditório posto historicamente à profissão que se revela como grande desafio para efetivação dos documentos que regem o Serviço Social, principalmente a uma ética pautada na emancipação humana. A pesquisa se desenvolveu a partir da pesquisa bibliográfica e da análise dos documentos legais como: Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA) e Sistema Nacional de Atendimento Socioeducativo (SINASE), e também do Código de Ética do (a) Assistente Social. O estudo resultou no entendimento de que para romper com uma atuação de caráter punitivo da medida socioeducativa de internação, é necessário que o (a) profissional atue conforme o Projeto Ético Político da profissão, a fim de combater qualquer avanço do conservadorismo possibilitado pelo Estado neoliberal e que insiste em retornar ao Serviço Social, para direcionar sua atuação na luta pela ampliação e consolidação da cidadania
