LANGUAGE IN DISNEY MOVIES

Cilj je ovog rada istražiti jezične karakteristike Disney filmova i usporediti ih sa studijom jezičnih karakteristika muškaraca i žena od Robin Tolmach Lakoff, koji su objašnjeni i definirani u knjizi Language and Woman’s Place (1975). Prvi dio rada pruža uvid u studij od Lakoff i ističe karakteristike koje će se proučavati u četiri filma. Nakon kratkog uvoda u terminologiju koja će se koristiti u radu, glavni dio rada izlaže rezultate analize, zajedno s primjerima za svaku od jezičnih karakteristika koje su promatrane.This paper aims to explore the language characteristics of Disney’s movies and compare them with Robin Tolmach Lakoff’s study of language characteristics of male and female persons, described and defined in the book called Language and Woman’s Place (1975). The first part of the paper provides an overview of Lakoff’s study and points out the characteristics that will be studied in the four selected movies. After a brief introduction of the terminology that will be used in the paper, the main part of the paper shows the results of the analysis, along with the examples for each of the language characteristics that were examined
