Why do so many of us feel drawn to water? Psychological and environmental researchers around the globe have become increasingly intrigued by our psychological response to blue space. Research is showing that the sea, rivers, lakes, canals, waterfalls, even fountains are good for body and mind, inducing a positive mood and reducing negative feelings and stress. Many people naturally gravitate toward the nearest blue space for their regular walks, be it a canal, a lake or the sea.
