043-04: Two Men Examining a Fossil in a Pit

This black and white photograph shows two men excavating a fossil. The fossil is encased in plaster and is an oblong oval shape. This photo is taken from above the men. A large shadow casts along the ground in front of them. This shadow is made from the wall of rocks around them, as they are down in well in the rock formation. George Sternberg is wearing a wide-brimmed hat and holds a brush in his right hand for removing dust and debris from the fossil.
