A Sociological Framing of Medicine\u27s Modern-Day Professionalism Movement

In this article the authors discuss the research and pedagogical implications of professionalism which has been regarded as distributed attribute and competence. They highlight the distinction of sociology and medicine in framing professionalism. Moreover, they note that major accounts of professionalism imparted by organized medicine have inclined to request doctors to rediscover themselves to the core principles of medical practice.
