The constant improvement in performance of solid-state single-photon sources have established them as a prime candidate for quantum optics applications, whose require high flux of indistinguishable and pure single photons. Here, we use individual self-assembled quantum dots (QD) coupled to optical pillar cavities which proved their abilities to fulfil these requirements.
