The hybrid perovskite MAPbI3 possessesexcellent optoelectronic properties and their optimizationand applications requires in depth understanding of thematerial structure and fundamental physical properties.This thesis investigates the structure and main propertiesof MAPbI3 through the following approaches: (1) Study ofthe dielectric properties of single crystals to point out therelationship between ion migration and giant dielectriceffects. Both methylamine MA+ cations and iodide Ianionsare mobile species which contribute to the dielectricconstant strength.
