This thesis presents two parts: first, the enantioselective synthesis of functionalized monohalomethyl cyclopropanes based on the cyclopropanation reaction of alkenes bearing various halomethylated groups and second, the synthesis of different tri-substitued 2-trifluoromethylacrylates using the catalytic Mizoroki-Heck reaction. In the first part, we reported the catalytic asymmetric synthesis of halomethyl cyclopropanes, which are achieved by using Rh2((S)-BTPCP)4 as a catalyst to perform the cyclopropanation reaction of α-halomethyl olefins with donor-acceptor diazo compounds. This methodology allows the access to a broad range of cyclopropanes in high yields with excellent diastereo- and enantioselectivities (up to >20:1 and up to 98% ee)...
