Over the past decades, the pyrolysis treatment of used tires has been widely studied due to its environmental benefits. Pyrolysis is considered to be one of the most promising alternative techniques for the recovery of this waste. Oil derived from the pyrolysis of used tires can be used as fuel for boilers, generators, and heavy engines due to its high energy value. However, due to the presence of sulfur, nitrogen, and heavy hydrocarbons, this requires further catalytic improvement.
