Automatic observing high frequency (HF) systems should allow a better understanding of the environment dynamic (and phytoplankton) in response to natural and anthropogenic pressures, as well as direct and indirect effects of phytoplankton blooms, leading to ecosystem dysfunctions. Improving knowledges is important in order to propose indicators consistent with the aims of the European directives and regional seas conventions.
