To reduce the energy consumption of buildings, a solution known for decades, consists of designing its envelope in order to exploit the energy resources existing in the environment. This is the very principle of so-called bioclimatic architecture. This is also true for hot and humid climates. But up to now, the lack of criteria to iden-tify the energy resources available in the environment and the level of performance of the technical solution has been a major obstacle. To solve this problem, this thesis has a double ambition.
