This work contributes to the more electric aircraft, more particularly in the extension of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) networks in the aeronautic field and the development of materials-insulated cable that meet aeronautic constraints. Its aim is to study and understand the physical phenomena involved in the cables used to transport energy in these networks, but also to predict the electric field distribution within insulating materials under HVDC stresses.
