We describe a micron-sized ore powder production by propulsion and rapid unloading of high-pressure gas. The research consists of three parts. Firstly, we obtain the tensile strength parameters and permeability coefficient based on the experiment. Secondly, gas propulsion pressure and gas infiltration pressure of the powdering experiment are confirmed. Thirdly, the ore will be fragmented into micron-sized powder when rapid unloading occurs. The grain size analysis indicates that more particles with smaller sizes are obtained at a higher propulsion gas pressure.
