Determine if hypomagnesemia & hypocalcemia on admission was associated with ICH and outcome. Magnesium is a vascular smooth muscle relaxant and appears to provide protection against cellular injury in experimental stroke models. The implication of low serum magnesium in primary ICH is not well defined. All patients with a primary ICH presented to PIMS, Islamabad prospectively analyzed in a pilot study.
