Hubungan Asupan Zat Besi dan Kejadian Anemia Defisiensi Besi dengan Prestasi Belajar pada Siswi SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Sukoharjo

Introduction : Inadequate intake of iron is the biggest factor in the emergence of anemia where low iron levels have an impact on cognitive performance and affect learning concentration due to oxygen intake to the brain. Objective : This study aimed to determine the correlation between iron intake and the incidence of suspected iron deficiency anemia with the achievement of female student of State Junior High School (SMPN) in Sukoharjo District. Methods : This type of research was cross-sectional with sampling using simple random sampling. The number of samples was 97 respondents, and the analysis test uses the Chi Square Test. Retrieval data of iron intake used the SQ FFQ form for the last 3 months, an early detection questionnaire for signs of anemia was used for the incidence of suspected anemia and learning achievement using the average daily test result of students including Indonesian, Mathematics, English and Science. Research Result : In the result of this study, the result of iron intake were 77,3% less, the incidence of non suspected anemia was 64,9% and poor learning achievement was 53,6%. The results of the p value of iron intake with learning achievement is 0,022, the p value of the incidence of suspected anemia with learning achievement was 0,322. Conclusion : In this study, it was stated that there was a significant correlation between iron intake and learning achievement, but there was no correlation between the incidence of suspected iron deficiency anemia and the learning achievement of State Junior High School students in Sukoharjo Regency
