Studi Deskriptif Komorbiditas Pasien Penyakit Covid-19 Yang Meninggal Di Rsud Kabupaten Karanganyar

Covid-19 was first reported in Wuhan, Hubei, China in December 2019 and it was declared by the World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11, 2020 that Covid-19 had become a worldwide pandemic disease.Covid-19 patients who were indicated to be hospitalized were difficult to compare as it relied on the community testing prevalence and that of the acceptance criteria, which varied in each country. Age and gender were important variables in the field of community research. The positive confirmed Covid-19 patients with comorbid or congenital diseases became a vulnerable group. This study was aimed at describing the haracteristics of Covid-19 patients who passed away with comorbidities. The type of the study was descriptive quantitative research by using retrospective approach. The population were inpatients who were confirmed positive Covid-19 in the General Hospital of Karanganyar Regency started from January to July 2021 amounted to 146 patients, by using saturated sampling technique. The gender characteristics of Covid-19 patients who passed away in the General Hospital of Karanganyar Regency started from January to July 2021 showed that the amount of female patients exceeded those were male by 57.53% (84 patients out of 146 patients who passed away). The characteristics observed from the age showed that the most patients who passed away were the late eldery between 56 and 65 years of age. Dealing with comorbid diseases suffered by Covid-19 patients who passed away in the General Hospital of Karanganyar Regency, there was 89% from 146 sample or that of 131 out of 146 patients who passed away with comorbid or comorbid diseases. The most common comorbidities suffered by patients from the top three were heart disease (64 patients), blood-related diseases (51 patients), and diabetes mellitus (43 patients)
