The Fault in Our Stars is one of the works of acclaimed author John Green. The reason the researcher uses this novel as the object of research is because this novel is quite famous and has been nominated for a best seller. Another reason that makes this novel interesting is the novelist who made this novel a book that motivates them to continue to struggle in their lives. However, this noel has been filmed and directed by Josh Boone. The main problem in this research is survival, to investigate the character's efforts in survival to fight thyroid cancer, where the characters in this novel can survive Standard will be analyzed using Adler's Individual Psychological Speculation. Individual psychology is a psychological theory that analyzes human life in terms of survival, , inferiority, fictional finalism, self-creativity, and the greatness of life. The data collected using the recording method were then analyzed using individual psychological theory.
