This study aims to describe 1). The teacher's role in instilling children's learning independence in online learning at RA Masyithoh Drono 01. 2) Children's learning independence is embedded in online learning. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection using interview and documentation methods. Interviews were used for data collection. Documentation in the form of files as data supporting the results of the interview. The data sources of this research are classroom teachers and accompanying teachers. Data validity using triangulation. Data analysis uses Miles and Hubermen's interactive analysis with data reduction steps, data display, and conclusions. The results showed: 1). Teachers in instilling independence in children's learning during a pandemic in online learning are assisted by children's parents so that in preparing materials, learning assistance to collecting back to teachers, parents are assisted. 2). Learning media given to children help stimulate children's learning independence through learning media. Children's learning independence is the independence to carry out activities or tasks on their own or with a little guidance. 3). Online learning is learning that is done at home so that it fosters the spirit of independent learning in children by motivating children when delivering children's material through videos, teachers do not forget to motivate and always support children
