Abstract

Previous studies have associated severe psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis with an increased risk of atherosclerosis. However, the association between patients with mild-to-moderate plaque-type psoriasis and atherosclerosis has yet to be studied in depth. This study investigates a) possible correlations between carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) and serum fetuin-A levels in patients with mild-to-moderate psoriasis and b) correlations between psoriasis severity index (PASI) and fetuin-A levels.
