Eksperimentalno istraživanje seizmičkog ponašanja identičnih podsklopova greda-stup obavljeno je ispitivanjem dvaju modela spoja u mjerilu 1:2, pri čemu jedan model ima ploču, a drugi nema. Kvalitativni model kojim se simulira sudjelovanje međukatne ploče razvijen je uspostavljanjem obrazaca pojave pukotina u ploči (linija popuštanja) i stanja deformacije u armaturi ploče.
