Reflection is considered as an important part of learning. The main purpose of the research presented was to evaluate the use of reflective tasks in pre-service teacher education. The aims of the study were to examine the students’ perceptions of some of the elements of written reflection task and to explore the level of reflective writing. The findings indicated that students find the reflective tasks meaningful, important and useful. However, the level of reflective writing was rather low. In the paper, practical implications of the results are discussed.
