The majority of drug addicts (as well as persons addicted to alcohol, tablets etc.) suffer from varying degrees of neurotic disorders, low psychological resistance, pronounced emotional vulnerability and hypersensitivity, tending to accumulate and repress various psychological problems while lacking the will and strength to confront and solve them correctly. The pathological nucleus of such deviations is typically an unhealthy family and environment.
