Jedna od najvažnijih negativnih posljedica stvrdnjavanja kompozitnih materijala halogenim žaruljama uz polimerizacijsko skupljanje jest i porast temperature. Taj porast u izravnoj je svezi s intenzitetom svjetla za polimerizaciju. Naime, što je intenzitet svjetla veći, veći je i porast temperature. Kako danas na tržištu postoje polimerizatori koji imaju po nekoliko različitih polimerizacijskih programa s različitom raspodjelom intenziteta svjetla unutar polimerizacijskog intervala i s različitom jakošću, svrha rada bila je ispitati utjecaj različitih polimerizacijskih programa na porast temperature u uzorku kompozitnoga materijala.
