The effect of diets with different lipid content was evaluated on variables of meat quality in pigs of local breed Pampa Rocha (Uruguay). Sixteen piglets with an initial body weight of 14.85 ± 1.93 Kg were used, from weaning (42 days) and up to 77 days of age, having the trial 35 days. The experimental design was completely randomized blocks with two treatments. The experiment was conducted in boxes, in a system of deep bed of wheat straw. The treatments consisted of different lipid content diets: T0 treatment consisted of a diet with 0% rice bran (control) and T15 treatment a diet with 15% of rice bran (higher lipid content).
