The overall objective of this research paper is to examine the relationships between farmland financing terms and and their effect on market prices of farmland sales transactions that occurred in Brookings County during the time period January 1978 to December 1987. Specific objectives are: (1) To identify, compare and contrast specific financing terms of contract for deeds, mortgages and equity (cash) financed farmland sales transactions from 1978 - 1987.
