This work addresses the development of a physical, mathematical and computational model of a steam generation process using a large-scale industrial boiler. Initially, a brief contextualization is presented about the challenges of testing industrial processes, motivation of the work. Then, the physical characteristics of the modeled process are presented, as well as the differential equations that represent these characteristics. The state space equation approach is used to build the simulator programmed in the MATLAB®-SIMULINK® environment, through an User-Defined Functions library resource.
