Comprehensive psychosocial rehabilitation program for mentally ill persons have resulted in reduced rates of relapse and rehospitalization. Unlike medication, however, they have not been widely adopted by the general systems of mental health care. This study developed the psychosocial rehabilitation program of severely mentally ill patient based upon the result of survey about the perception´ and needs for mental health of mentally ill persons and their families. The psychosocial rehabilitation program emphasized communication skills, daily living skills, and social relatedness. The program was made group therapy, social skill training, and group activity.
