Briquetting is a method of particles compaction where fine particles are densified to produce briquette with different sizes and shapes. In briquetting, loose particles are compressed two counter-rotating rolls. The structural and mechanical properties of briquettes are crucial to the downstream operations such as transportation, handling, and coating etc. Therefore, a better insight into those fundamentals governing of briquetting is of great importance to process control and optimization.
