The current study could assess the prescribing pattern of the antihypertensive, most commonly prescribed Antihypertensive and cost comparison of Antihypertensive. The most commonly prescribed Antihypertensive are amlodipine with telmisartan. The cost analysis report that the cost of prescribed Antihypertensive was high which Rs.13137.80 and which can be and which can be reduced by prescribing alternate brands of antihypertensive at lower cost at Rs.7,716.66 which would help in minimizing the patient’s expenditure. The most commonly prescribed class of antihypertensive are amlodipine and followed by calcium channel blockers.
