National audienceBlack scurf (or root rot), Rhizoctonia solani, is a real pest to the studied crops (potato, maize and sugar beet), therefore its control strategy has to be investigated at the crop rotation level. In a first phase, studies have provided comprehensive elements about epidemiological processes of R. solani AG3/potato and R. solani AG2-2/sugar beet, analytical data about the effects of biofumigation on the epidemics, and the first contributions to implement integrated pest control methods. In a second step, multi-site experiments have shown that biofumigation by itself was not sufficient to control the soil borne fungus, whereas added to other control methods, could be beneficial to yield increase and most likely contributing t...
