U ovom radu je ispitano izluživanje elemenata iz nepropisno odloženog otpada u naselju Štrmac, koji je nastao industrijom ugljena. Sakupljena su 4 uzorka na 2 lokacije unutar odlagališta. Na svakom uzorku su provedene 2 metode ekstrakcije, ASTM i TCLP (pH 2,9). Uzorci su potom podvrgnuti sekvencijskom filtriranju kako bi se dobile 4 različite veličinske frakcije. Korišteni su acetatno-celulozni filteri s veličinom pora 0,45, 0,22 i 0,10 μm kao i ultracentrifugalni filter (Amicon Ultra-15) s veličinom pora otprilike 0,008 μm. Na dobivenim eluatima je provedena multielementna analiza primjenom tehnike spektrometrije masa visoke razlučivosti uz induktivno spregnutu plazmu (HR-ICP-MS).
