The text interpretation method derived from reading the Torah is doubtless a significant contribution of the Jewish tradition to culture, including Polish. Rooted in the Jewish identity, the method of dispute with God, oneself, or another Jew gave rise to a Talmudic, and consequently Midrash narration, with which interpretative discourse became also a tool of communicating faith. When the Midrash method is transferred to literary communication, we begin to see how powerful a word forged in text may be.
